Wilbur, The Bike Lane Monitor

Get your loathsome, air polluting, ass fattening, metal cage out of the bike lane, moron!
I'm watching you, monkey boy.

Bike Lane Hall of Shame

I routinely bike a 37 mile round trip through Chicago. I take a camera with me to snap photos of Chicago's many sites, and pictures of the multitude of bike lane violators impeding my progress. Several times every ride I encounter some baboon's vehicle loitering in a bike lane. I'm posting a portion of my collection here on Pedestrian Hell.

If I happen to capture the license plate of a vehicle in a photo, I will not obscure the license plate for the posterity of some cager who insists on occupying the bike lane. Piss on you, cager. If you don't want to become a bike lane violation poster-monkey, then don't violate Chicago's bike lanes.

I keep backups of the higher resolution originals taken by the camera. I also take multiple photos, so the half-wits pictured here cannot claim that they were just passing through the bike lane while trying to park legally. Don't even think about challenging the veracity of these photos.

Here's some twit who believes that the bicycle symbol, clearly visible in the photograph, refers to his "car". Vehicles of all types regularly loiter in this bike lane.

UPS delivery vehicle blocking the bike lane. The driver had plenty of legitimate curbside parking available but he chose to violate the bike lane because it was convenient to do so...? Shortly after the driver observed me taking pictures of his company's vehicle, he moved it a short distance, and curbside parked it legally.

Here we have a baboon who continued to talk on his cell phone while I took several photos. Apparently the desire to deliver a wheelbarrow and chat up someone on the phone was far more important than the law. His actions are even more contemptible given the ample curbside parking adjacent to his vehicle. "Parallel park my vehicle? Not when I can have the satisfaction of violating a bike lane!"

It's JUDGE & DOLPH Ltd's friendly truck #46 parked in the bike lane making it easier for cyclists to use the bike lane. So nice that they are such law abiding monkeys. Here's a Front View.

It's the brown UPS apes again. They are relentless in their effort to block bike lanes wherever they can. "What Can Brown Do For You? Illegally obstruct bike lanes... sure no problem!"

Get out and push!

Liberty has never come from the government. Liberty has always come from the subjects of government. The history of liberty is the history of resistance. The history of liberty is a history of the limitation of governmental power, not the increase of it.
